Before I started my coaching sessions my life was all off track. I ended a relationship I was blinded by love in, we dated for 3 years and married for one. When we separated, I was depressed for almost a year. It was a dark place and I didn’t know what to do with myself. On top of that I had to pay everything on my own so my finances are not where I would like for them to be. In some places I picked myself up out of depression but in other ways my mental was still traumatized. Talking things out during my session made me realize that I have another chance to claim who I am, redefine myself and let go of the past hurt. I can see how this will be a challenging experience but during my coaching’s I’m reassured and motivated that in the end it will all be worth it. At first I was shy telling a stranger my personal life, I’m not very social person. I don’t like talking about personal things to people I don’t know but I made a choice to change my life for the better and it started here. UC is very easy to talk to, he’s always positive and encouraging. Even when he is serious it doesn’t come off harsh, in a way his approach is gentle. I think that’s what I like about him the most. So far I have been more accepting of myself and uplifting myself that I will get back on track to the life I wanted before I fell. My spirit feels better being nice to myself and refocusing on my dreams. The most important thing I am learning is to step out of my comfort zone. One of my biggest takeaways from the nurse coaching experience was the perspective it brought on truly living in the moment and keeping focus on the things that are important in my life. Through this process I’ve been able to apply our conversations to situations that before I might have taken a different approach that wouldn’t have been as beneficial. My time during my sessions has motivated me to really pursue some life changing traits within myself and around me. Before my coaching sessions I had a lot in my head and I tried to keep it all there and quite often I got overwhelmed from it. I was never good at making tough decisions and thinking things all the way through. I have been set back from my dreams but I didn’t want to settle and let go and my coach helped me with that. I recently ended a relationship that I was heavily invested in and it put me in a financial bind, I had to make a lot of changes. It was kind of discouraging but I did find relief. Talking to my coach has really given me peace of mind and reassurance that change is okay. I was afraid because I am giving up my control of how I handle things in life and instead do what is best for me and not what I desire. After our sessions I feel motivated in confident about my choices that will help me succeed in life and accomplish my goals that I almost gave up on. I appreciate how understanding and kind he is. In this world we can be judgmental and most may not mean any harm but that isn’t a comforting approach to live life. What was going on in your life before you started working with me, and how have our coaching sessions positively impacted your life and overall wellbeing? I was working as a teacher and one of my children was a jr. in college and the other one was a senior in high school. I was preparing for my daughter’s graduation from high school, her transfer from one state to another, as well as, prom and everything else that comes with Senior year. Our coaching sessions has positively impacted my life and overall being by giving me clarity and understanding of my decision process. It helped me understand that asking the right questions and using all perspectives to understand my problem is the proper approach, oppose to looking at things from one aspect. - How was your experience of working with me? My experience while working with you was Excellent. What did you like most about our coaching relationship? The thing I liked most about our coaching sessions was the rich conversations we held. In addition, your patience and understanding were impressive. - What benefits, results, or achievements did you gain from our coaching together? One benefit I gained from our coaching together is talking to someone is helpful. Seeing things from different perspectives are beneficial. Keeping an open mind and positive attitude can prove to bring monumental change. - What new insights and learning have you discovered through this process? The learning I have discovered through this process is there is power in communication. Our coaching session went well, and I enjoyed the process more than I thought I would. I felt comfortable and came out of the process satisfied. - Who would you recommend my coaching to? I would recommend your coaching to my family and friends.
